Riverhills Health Club & Spa: Reviewed

2 MIN READ • 22nd September 2025

Jenny O’Neill takes the opportunity to soak up a day of ultimate relaxation and bliss in Suffolk…

I recently spent a day at Riverhills Health Club & Spa in Ipswich, and I have to say, it was such a treat from start to finish. The space feels fresh, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed, making it the perfect place to unwind and recharge.

The facilities were excellent, with so much to do that I tried to squeeze in as much as possible during my visit. Unfortunately, the Snow Experience wasn’t working on the day I went, but it looked amazing and definitely something I’ll be heading back to try. Even without that, there was more than enough to enjoy, from the pool and sauna to the tranquil relaxation areas.

What really stood out to me was the staff. Everyone I met was so friendly and knowledgeable, whether it was answering questions about treatments or offering advice on the best way to enjoy the facilities.

Lunch was a nice treat and served in a dining room that felt both relaxed and refined. If you’re lucky, you might even snag a seat in the courtyard, which makes for a lovely setting on a nice day. The food was fresh and delicious – just the right balance for a spa day.

The absolute standout moment, though, was my facial treatment. An hour of pure bliss, it left my skin glowing and me feeling completely rejuvenated. The therapist was brilliant, taking time to tailor the treatment to my needs, and the products were so good that I couldn’t resist purchasing them to take home.

What I love most about Riverhills is how versatile it feels. Some people make it a weekly or monthly ritual, whether to pamper themselves solo or spend quality time with friends. Others take the plunge and join as members to enjoy all the facilities regularly. After my visit, I completely understand why.

If you’re looking for a place to relax, recharge, and truly treat yourself, I can’t recommend Riverhills enough. It’s well worth a visit, and I, for one, am already planning my return.
