Yellow Root Curcumin: What makes this liquid turmeric so special?

Cortiba Health’s new range of turmeric supplements uses advanced absorption technology to help you get the most out of this nutritional powerhouse

From lattes to supplements, turmeric has made quite a name for itself in the health industry, finding its way into our daily lives and diets – and for good reason. Traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine, this vibrant spice packs a major health punch. But while it proved popular throughout Asia for centuries, it’s only in the past few decades that turmeric has been embraced by the West.

At a time when the benefits of turmeric were being validated by clinical research, the UK’s IPS Pharma began developing products for the UK market in partnership with Lyrus Life Sciences in the US, in an effort to bring unique natural health remedies to Brits.

You’ve probably heard of turmeric’s active compound, curcumin. One of the challenges with curcumin is its poor solubility, which is why IPS Pharma and Lyrus set about developing a technologically advanced delivery system that would solve this problem.

The result? Yellow Root Curcumin, a new range of liquid turmeric supplements featuring ground-breaking absorptive capacity thanks to C3 Cura™ Advanced Absorption Technology.

About the technology

In its natural form, turmeric is poorly absorbed during digestion. Most turmeric supplements are derived from crushed turmeric and are, therefore, also poorly absorbed. This has been an ongoing challenge for turmeric supplement manufacturers, with the main issue being low solubility – that means that most of the dose passes straight through the system as it isn’t water soluble.

C3 Cura™ is a unique, innovative and patented technology that transforms the poorly soluble natural compounds in turmeric into a radically soluble, nanonised form. What this means for Yellow Root Curcumin is a significant increase in stability as it passes through the stomach, and more active curcumin available for your body.

Why Yellow Root?

Because standard curcumin supplements contain more insoluble curcumin per dose, more must be ‘packed in’ to achieve the same effect – and more must also be cleared from the system. By opting for a better absorbed supplement that requires a fraction of the dose, it means you can avoid an unnecessary burden on your body’s systems.

Because Yellow Root Curcumin is so much more bioavailable than conventional turmeric supplements, it’s over 500 times better absorbed than other turmeric supplements*. In fact, in a study* comparing the absorption of 5mg (4 drops) of Yellow Root Curcumin and 2000mg of curcumin powder, there was over 500 times greater absorption of curcumin into the bloodstream with Yellow Root after 30 minutes.

This makes Yellow Root Curcumin the ideal for choice for people whose systems are already burdened by, for example, prescription medicines.

yellow root liquid turmeric with vitamin A

YELLOW ROOT A: supports healthy immune function

Vitamin A has a central role in enhancing immune function, and has been called an ‘anti-inflammatory vitamin’. Vitamin A, therefore, seemed to us to be a perfect complement for curcumin, with its well-known anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. What’s more, with healthy immune function being so necessary for good health, and immune conditions on the rise, what better way to formulate a supplement than combine unsurpassed curcumin absorption with precision nutrients for health and vitality?

yellow root liquid turmeric with vitamin B12

YELLOW ROOT B12: supports metabolic balance and weight control

With growing awareness about the importance of vitamin B12 in maintaining healthy metabolism, this was another key vitamin to fortify our products with. Vitamin B12 plays an important role in the body, helping with maintaining a healthy metabolism, the formation of red blood cells and proper nerve function.

Studies show that curcumin also has a positive impact on metabolism, so vitamin B12 seemed to be a perfect complement. Metabolic conditions such as diabetes and excess weight affect peoples’ quality of life, so formulating a supplement that would improve people’s metabolism and overall health seemed like a no brainer! Vitamin B12 is also an ‘at risk’ nutrient for vegans, as it can only be sourced from animal products. Yellow Root is 100% vegan and comes in sustainable packaging, making it a great option for those on a plant-based diet.

yellow root liquid turmeric with vitamin D3

YELLOW ROOT D3: helps maintain healthy, flexible joints

Vitamin D deficiency is unfortunately all too common, and is more common in people with arthritis, according to recent studies. Vitamin D plays several important roles in the body, including maintaining healthy bones and joints, the regulation of calcium and the immune system. So fortifying our Yellow Root with vitamin D can help you top up your levels of this key vitamin.

Yellow Root Curcumin soluble drops are rapidly bioavailable, cause minimal burden to your body systems compared to other turmeric supplements on the market, and are backed by rigorous scientific evidence. With its high absorption rate and all natural, certified organic ingredients, Yellow Root Curcumin is a great way to look after your health.
