The best dairy-free Easter eggs 2024

4 MIN READ • 18th March 2024

On the hunt for the best dairy-free Easter eggs for this year’s chocolate haul? We’ve got you covered...

Looking for some delicious dairy-free Easter eggs? Search no more! From salted caramel oat milk options to rocky road eggs, we’ve got you covered…

Best dairy-free Easter eggs

Happi Oat M!lk Salted Camarel Egg, £12, happichoc.com

Smooth, creamy and delicious, the salted caramel oat milk egg from Happi was a big hit in the H&W office. Made from natural ingredients (including ethically sourced cacao from Colombia) and with fully recyclable packaging, it’s clear that the team at Happi are keeping sustainability (as well as taste) at the front of their minds. In addition to the salted caramel version, there’s also a plain choc egg and orange flavoured version, plus a range of Easter-egg shaped bars in flavours including white raspberry.

PLAYin CHOC Rabbit Collection, £2.25 for one box or £13.50 for the gift set, playinchoc.com

Okay, we know these strictly aren’t an egg, but the chocolate is too good not to mention. This year PLAYin Choc has launched a cute rabbit collection gift set for Easter, which includes a chocolate treat and a 3D puzzle toy alongside it (think sheep and rabbits with carrots). Made using coconut and vanilla, the chocolate itself is tasty and creamy – and contains a third less sugar than leading chocolate brands too – result! We also love the fact the wrapping around the chocolate is compostable and the rest of the packaging is recyclable too.

NOMO Caramel Egg and Bar, £6.50, nomochoc.com

You’ve heard of FOMO but how about NOMO? This chocolate brand’s motto is ‘No Missing Out’ – and its range of free-from Easter eggs have been designed to ensure everyone can enjoy them. We love the Caramel Egg and Bar, which is free from dairy, gluten, egg and nuts, and boasts deliciously dreamy chocolate and not-too-sweet caramel. The brand also offers a huge range of other flavoured eggs and Easter treats, including a Cookie Dough Egg and Bunny.

Moo Free Rocky Road Egg, £4.50, moofreechocolates.com

This fun and funky egg is sure to go down a treat with youngsters. From the brilliantly designed egg to the bright and colourful packaging, it’s a real eggstravaganza! We love the mixture of biscuit juicy raisins, marshmallows and cinder toffee pieces, within the egg, and the mix of ‘milk’ and white chocolate adds a nice touch too. The fact it’s gluten and soya-free (as well as dairy-free) is a real boon, and the packaging is fully-recyclable too.

Ombar Coco m*lk egg, £12.99, ombar.com

We’re huge fans of Ombar’s delicious decadent chocolate here at H&W, and luckily the brand’s newly-launched range of luxury eggs doesn’t disappoint at all. Made with Ombar’s famous ‘Coco Mylk’ (which has premium quality, unroasted Ecuadorian cacao at its heart), the chocolate is smooth, rich and delicious. Each Ombar Easter Egg is fully recyclable and plastic-free, plus they are gluten-free and certified vegan, Fair Trade and organic, with no palm oil included.

Prodigy’s Chocolate Salted Caramel Eggs, 2 cartons (12 eggs), £18.95, prodigysnacks.com

There’s something joyful about receiving a set of Easter eggs in a specially designed egg carton – and that’s just one of the reasons why we love Prodigy’s Chocolate Salted Caramel Eggs. The other reason? They taste delicious! With rich, decadent chocolate on the outside, and a smooth, silky golden caramel in the middle, they make the perfect sweet treat for Easter. As well as containing plant-based, ethically-sourced ingredients high in prebiotic fibre, the eggs are vegan, dairy, gluten, refined sugar and palm-oil free. Plus, Prodigy is a B Corp registered, carbon-neutral ESG business that puts sustainability high on the agenda. And sales of the eggs will support The Felix Project, a London-based food redistribution charity. An easter egg you can feel really good about eating? Yes please!
